On June 27, 2025, at Quail Hollow (Delvin), Brad Steven and Tony Milam etched their names into the history books with a record-breaking performance at the JB Four-Ball Classic Cup. The duo fired an impressive 31-33—64 to win the tournament by a single stroke over the formidable team of Dominik Cosic and Jami Morris, who finished with a strong 33-32—65.
Both teams tallied seven birdies on the day, but the difference came down to a single shot—a bogey on the par-3 6th hole by Cosic and Morris. With Steven and Milam already in the clubhouse at 7-under, the pressure was on as Cosic and Morris approached the 18th needing an eagle on the par-4 to tie. Jami Morris came agonizingly close to holing out, carding her seventh birdie instead.
It was a thrilling finish to a highly competitive round—one that will be remembered as one for the record books.

In two days of brutal heat and humidity at Punderson, Chase Recio of Fairview, PA captured the Jim Dawson Match Play Championship title with a steady performance to claim victory over Ty Roediger (Chardon) in the boys 16 to 19 age division. While total strokes are not considered in match play, Chase had just one bogey and 13 pars to claim a 5&4 win. Proving that short game wins championships, Chase had seven up and downs on the day including saves on the last 4 holes to claim the title. In Tuesday’s semi-final matches, Chase bested defending champion Lincoln Miller(Concord) 5&4 while Ty won by the same margin over Sammie Heiser (Pepper Pike).
Hamilton Steady in Boys 15 and Under
In the boys 15 and under age group, it was Hamilton Miller (Concord) taking home the hardware. Consistent ball striking throughout the sultry round put Miller in position to close the match on the par 4 16th. Miller sank a 10 foot putt up the hill for par to defeat Iulius Braho of University Heights3&2. It was the first match play victory for the rising freshman.

Keira Chang (Chagrin Falls) certainly did as the skies opened up late in the round to soak out the competition at Pine Ridge. That didn’t deter Keira from claiming her second tour victory of the week by way of a 44-41–85 to claim the Champions Cup. Chang carded nine pars and a birdie enroute to the win. Lillian Kasper (Concord) recovered from a nervous start to finish as runner-up. Improving 9 strokes from the front to the back, Kasper finished with 7 pars and a birdie enroute to a 51-42–93.
Boys 16-19
Ty Stays Dry (mostly…)
Ty Roediger (Chardon) and Ralph Zappola (Willoughby) played their 18 hole round in 3 hours and 8 minutes, had it taken 3 hours and 15 minutes, they would have driven home drenched like most of the rest of the field. Luckily, their speedy play meant for good rhythm for Ty as he matched his career low round in finishing with an even par 71. Wedges were the star of the day for Ty, who’s three birdie, three bogey round bested the Boys 16 to 19 age group by 5 strokes over playing partner Zappolo (41-35–76). It was the second victory in as many events for Roediger who was also the victor at Tanglewood. Lincoln Miller (Concord) was third (36-41–77).
Boys 15 & Under
Bravo Braho
Iulius Braho (University Heights) continued his steady play in claiming the Boys 15 and Under age group. Playing his final two holes in biblical rain, Braho finished par-par to card a 10 over par round of 81 (42-39). Braho finished 8 strokes ahead of a pair of golfers, Liam Siko (Mentor; 44-45–89) and Lorenzo Salvatore (Highland Heights; 43-46–89).

The NCJT headed to its yearly tour stop at Tanglewood today and it looked like the boys 16 to 19 age group was going to end up another sister kisser (old school slang for a tie in sports). But Ty Roediger (Chardon) said “not so fast my friends” and drained a birdie on the final hole to claim (38-39–77) sole possession of the coveted Champions Trophy. After a steady 2 over par front nine consisting of 7 pars and 2 bogies, Roediger decided to make things interesting, rollercoastering to a three over par second nine that included 2 birdies, a double and a triple. Roediger outlasted challenges from Ralph Zappola (Willoughby) 39-39–78 and Owen Adelman (Chagrin Falls) 39-40-79.
Boys 15 & Under
Creech Scorches Back Nine
Rising St. Ignatius freshman Ryan Creech (Chesterland) was the talk of the 19th hole after a blistering back nine helped him to an easy victory in the boys 15 and Under division. Posting a back nine score of 34 which in included 4 birdies, including three in the final four holes, Creech earned the hardware as the only golfer on the day to finish in red numbers (37-34–71). He finished 9 shots ahead of Iulius Braho (University Heights) who posted matching nines of 40 to finish at eight over par 80.
Girls 19 & Under
Patience Pays Off for Chang
365 days ago, Keira Chang (Chagrin Falls) finished runner-up on the friendly confines of Tanglewood. This year, she would not be denied as her steady improvement throughout the day led to victory in the Girls 19 and Under age group. Chang carded a 14 over par round of 86 after going 45-41 including a final 8 holes of 3 over par golf. Chang bested playing partner Angela Kerwood (Concord) who finished 11 shots off the pace.
NCJT Shot of the Day
Our NCJT Shot of the Day goes to Iulius Braho (University Heights), our runner up in the Boys 15 and Under age division. Braho had a 47 yard dunk on the 11th hole for birdie.

The Jim Dawson Match Play at Punderson on June 24-25 is open to all tour members. Two ways to enter: The Qualifier at Pine Ridge on June 19 is the best method. At Pine Ridge your score is used for proper seeding. You must enter both Pine Ridge and the Qualifier to register properly. If you are not playing at Pine Ridge, then enter the Match Play directly (read the info page to get the code).
New sign-ups for Match Play after the qualifier and before Monday, June 23, will be seeded into the bracket based on scoring average. Caddies are permitted at this championship. It’s a single elimination match play competition and one of the coveted championships to win on tour. The code to enter is jimdawson and is included on the tournament info page with lots of important details to learn about this championship.
The JB Four-Ballis one of the most fun events on tour. It’s a better ball of 2 players for 18 holes. It’s played at Quail Hollow on Friday, June 27 and open to all current and former NCJT members. NCJT members can play with anyone at any age they choose. We usually get a number of father-son teams and some former superstars that love to compete for the title. Sign-up today to join the fun!
Jim Dawson Match Play, The Qualifier & The Four-Ball
This event has great history and has always been one of the funniest events on tour. There are three ways to enter the Jim Dawson Match Play, but you only need to do one to enter.
Enter the Match Play Qualifier at Pine Ridge (Thursday, June 19), this is the preferred method for non-exempt players. You must first register for the Pine Ridge event, then you can add-on the qualifier. Your score from the Pine Ridge event will earn you a proper placement in the bracket. No other entry is needed once you enter the qualifier. Everyone will qualify and your score will seed you in the bracket properly.
Exempt players (prior champions and such are listed on the info page), you enter directly in the Jim Dawson Match Play on June 24-25.
If you can’t or didn’t play in the Pine Ridge Qualifier, then you can enter directly into the Match play event on June 24-25. You will be seeded based on spots open and your average score if needed.
Please take note, that once you enter any one of these methods you are in the Match Play event. Do not enter both, that’s a double entry. All qualifiers will make the field and the bracket will be posted once the bracket is full or it could be a few days before the event if spots remain open.
The JB Four-Ball (Getting Close to Last Call)
We have a great field stacking up for the The JB Four-Ball (Friday, June 27). If you haven’t got your entry in yet, please do so by Monday evening, June 23, 2025. A Four-Ball is the better ball of two players for each hole. It’s the most popular team format in golf! You must pick your own partner! This is a very fun competition at Quail Hollow CC (Concord, OH).
Team Make-up – It’s very open to anyone ever affiliated with the North Coast Junior Tour. It’s a popular event for former players and even our older Alumni (some 40ish in age…hard to believe). Current NCJT players can team up or grab another golfing buddy from their club to make-up a team. As long as ONE player was affiliated with NCJT, they are eligible to bring any level of “ringer” they would like. Father-son teams are also popular at the Four-Ball. Bottomline, don’t miss this one… it’s a great day!
Once you sign-up, please email us to confirm who you are partnering with: send to tmilam@ncjt.org.

If the adage is true, that “Sharing is Caring,” then we may have the most kindhearted group of junior golfers on the planet. No less than four players came away from Signature at Solon victorious in the Boys 16 to 19 age group. 75 was the score to beat to take the trophy. Jackson Sarver (Aurora) (38-37) set the early pace, so early, in fact, that he missed the group photo at the end of the day (see if you can pick him out above). Joining Sarver on the leaderboard two groups later was Jayden Park (Pepper Pike) (39-36) who played his last 10 holes one under par. And like Wednesday at Manakiki, the waiting game began for Park. Andrew Engler(Mentor) came next (39-36) and all eyes were on Wednesday’s Winner, Lincoln Miller (Concord). Miller looked to be coasting to the individual win when he birdied 12, then 13 and then 14 to go two under for the round. Miller (37-38) had difficulties down the stretch to join the group at three over par. Michael Fahey (Wadsworth) finished one back at 36-40–76.
Boys 15 & Under.
Chluda Hangs Out and Hangs On.
Eat a hot dog, watch The Open and keep refreshing the live scoreboard on ncjt.org. That was the routine for about 20 minutes for Luke Chluda (Hudson) (39-41) as all eyes were on Aiden Tong (Pepper Pike) (38-43) after Chluda posted the clubhouse lead at 8 over par 80. It looked like another shared title until a Tong bogey on 18 gave Chluda his first NCJT win. Iulius Braho (University Heights) finished third with an 88.
Girls 19 and Under
Steady as She Goes.
Golf is a game of avoiding big numbers and that’s just how Ava Solak (Chagrin) drew it up enroute to a victory in the Girls 19 and Under age division. Making no worse than a bogey in her round and playing the second nine in three over par helped Ava coasted to a comfortable win with a 9 over par round of 42-39–81.Maggie Kothera (Kirtland) and Angela Kerwood (Concord) were second and third in the divsion.
North Coast Junior Tour – Signature of Solon 6/12/2025 – Signature of Solon Par 72, 5844 Yards

Lincoln Miller (Concord) left no doubt at the end of his round today at Manakiki to claim top honors in the Boys 16 to 19 Age Group. Tied for the lead as he walked onto his 17th hole of the tournament, the par four 8th, Miller posted not one, but two consecutive birdies to conclude his round and post a two stroke victory over Jayden Park (Pepper Pike)(40-38–78). Miller’s four over par 76 (38-38) paced the field on the always challenging Manakiki track. Ty Roediger (Chardon) was a stroke back with a 79 (40-39).
Boys 15 & Under
Tolnar Outlasts the Field
Preston Tolnar (Canfield) played steady golf throughout the day to post a one stroke victory in the Boys 15 and Under Age Division. Tolnar carded no worse than a bogey while putting up matching nines of 41 to finish at ten over par 82. Tour newcomer Luca Parrotta (Mayfield Village) birdie his 17th hole, the par four 8th, to share the lead with Tolnar but a bogey on his final hole left him one stroke off the pace at 83 (41-42). Punderson winner Iulio Braho (University Heights) was one behind Parrotta with an 84 (42-42).
Girls 19 and Under
Kothera Grinds to Victory
Sometimes surviving is good enough. That’s the lesson that Maggie Kothera (Kirtland) learned today at Manakiki as an uncharacteristic round of 49-54–103 was 12 strokes off of her 2025 NCJT Tournament scoring average but proved to be just enough to take home the win. Kothera finished 2 strokes ahead of Samantha Miller (Solon) who recovered from a tough opening hole to card a 53-52–105. Miller looks to get payback on Thursday at Signature of Solon, her home course.

And you can still register to play! — Register Here —
This week NCJT plays at Manakiki, a Donald Ross classic, on Wednesday, June 11. Home to the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship and many high school events.
On Thursday, June 12 the tour will play at Signature of Solon, a well groomed and spectacular country club course.
Also, have some of the top juniors in greater Cleveland playing at both events this week and it’s not to late to register. Entries will be accepted up until 6pm the night before each event.
Elena Varga(Hudson) made it two wins in as many days as she backed up her win at Little Mountain with another at Punderson. Her four-over round 39-37–76 was eight better than Ava Solak (Chagrin Falls) who was runner-up. Elena had 7 pars and 2 birdies in her round, highlighted by a one-over par second nine. Maggie Kothera(Kirtland) was third in the field with a round of 90.
Boys 16 to 19 – Where there’s a Will, there’s a way!
Will Cody (Shaker Heights) bested the field in Boys 16 to 19 action. His included four birdie round enroute to a seven over par 79(43-36). After a slow start marked by par-double-double on holes 10, 11 and 12, Cody righted the ship playing his last 10 holes one under par. Cody’s round was one better than a pair of 80’s by Wren Spires (Medina) and Wednesday’s winner, Lincoln Miller (Concord).
Boys 15 and Under – Welcome to the NCJT, Iulius Braho.
Playing in only his second NCJT event, Tour newcomer Iulius Braho (University Heights) walked away a champion. In a highly competitive field where only four shots separated first through fourth place, Braho’s round of 39-40–79 was enough to outlast a pair of 81s by Aiden Curtis (Mentor) and Wednesday’s co-champion, Liam Siko (Mentor). Wednesday’s other co-champ Preston Tolnar (Canfield) was two strokes behind with an 83.
