NCJT – Special Events

We are coming up on a few weeks of special events starting with the Jim Dawson Match Play Championship at Punderson on June 23-24. Let’s go through each event in detail so everyone will understand the excitement of what’s in store.

Jim Dawson Match Play at Punderson on June 23-23

The Jim Dawson Match Play has always been one of the most exciting events on tour. Head to head match play has a long history in the world of golf and tournament golfers get a different feel of enthusiasm when playing match play. Our match play championship is one of two championships we host each season and is a high valued championship to win.

Currently we have a full bracket for the Boys 16-19 and the Girls 19-U, however we do have 3 spots available in the Boys 15&U. Those spot are available on a first come basis, so please submit your entries as soon as possible. If you are interested in playing and your division is full, please email tmilam@ncjt.org and we’ll place you on a waiting list. If we receive a Withdrawal or get enough interest we may be able to increase the bracket size and add players from the waiting list.

The deadline for fill ins or join the waiting list will be Saturday, June 20 by 6pm.

JB Four-Ball Classic at Quail Hollow on July 2nd

This event is designed to showcase our junior golfers; their character, charisma and their golf games, while playing a competition with a team of 4 amateur golfers. We are on track to have a record number of amateur teams this year and we will need all of our top junior players to participate so NCJT is well represented. It’s a great day of golf with a breakfast before play and a BBQ Cookout after play. It only cost $60 for our juniors players, so please signup as soon as possible. The juniors will be playing their own ball in a regular Stroke Play competition, while the team of Amateurs are playing a scramble. The better ball of the team or the juniors score will be the overall team score for each hole. The team of amateurs also have the ability to select some of the junior golfers shots during the competition, which makes the competition even more fun for all. All the details can be found on the event information page. At the award BBQ Cookout the scholarship winners will be announced.
