Robert Kimmel Shoots Low Round at Pine Ridge

Robert Kimmel fired a 73 (+2) and was the low score for all Boys today at Pine Ridge.  He won the Boys 14-15 with an up and down round including a stretch from #5 to #17 (13 holes) where he only made one par.  The rest included 5 birdies and 7 bogeys.  There were lots of fireworks in Roberts round, but overall it was a great day.  Samuel Marciano was second with a 76 (+5) and his round included 13 pars and 5 bogeys.

In the Boys 16-19 division, Bentley Stover, Antonio Bodziony and Nolan Adams tied for 1st with rounds of 76.  Bentley had 5 birdies and some double bogeys today.  Bentley made his first Stroke Play double bogey of the season today on #6.  He has gone 131 without a double bogey (that’s an amazing run).  Antonio had 3 birdies and an eagle, but he keeps getting a few doubles and triples on his scorecards.  Nolan had 2 birdies, 5 bogeys and a double.

Laine Hursh wins the Girls again with an 82 at Pine Ridge.  Olivia Zampedro was 2nd with 89.

A special moment happened for another tour player today.  Alex Lavin had a 5 hole stretch that he played even par, which included 3 pars, a bogey and a birdie.  Alex finished with a 104, which was his lowest round on tour.  Please us congratulate Alex on his fine achievement and his improving game!
