The NDCL girls finished 3rd at the Division II State Finals. Olivia Jereb (73-76–149) finished 5th and Reva Morris (72-78–150) finished 6th individually. Kelsey Walton and Nora Nelson also contributed to the NDCL finish. Haylee Harford (68-73–141) won the individual title for the second time. Haylee is a former NCJT player and is committed to Furman University. Kaylee Neumeister (79-77–156) also finished in the top 10. Amanda Bingaman (79-86–165), Alex Stahler (92-91–183) and Caroline Carulas (99-93–192) helped Hathaway Brown capture 5th place.
In the Boys Division II State Finals at the Scarlet Course Chagrin Falls finished tied for 2nd (321-337–654). Daniel Berlin (78-76–154) led the way with a 2nd place individual finish; Will Widman (79-84–163), Alex Baker (83-82–165), Joe Vinci (81-91–172), and Garrett Bontempo (88-93–181). Freshman Charlie Toman from NDCL won the individual title with scores of 74-79–153.
Division I plays next week and NCJT with have many players in the field, including St. Ignatius (Owen Miklos and Zach Morris), Hudson (Will Kurtz, Dave Sexton and Nolan Lauglin) and Riverside’s Matt Thomas playing individually. In the girls Elyssa Peltz, Danielle Nicholson, and Jacinta Pikunas have all qualified. Good Luck to all the NCJT players!
