Joe Haase Cup at Firestone CC (North)

The 2022 Joe Haase Cup will be the 24th anniversary of this junior tour challenge competition . The event originally started as the Tour Challenge in 1999. In 2002, the event was renamed the Joe Haase Cup in memory of our good friend Joe Haase, the golf professional at Shaker Heights CC, a past President of the Northern Ohio PGA and a good friend to junior golf, locally and nationally. The event has been hosted at Firestone CC (North) for the past 20 years.

The 2019 winning North Coast Junior Golf Tour team!

The North Coast Junior Golf Tour won the cup in 2019 and still defend the Cup after two years of cancellations; 2020 was cancelled for COVID-19 and 2021 was rained out. In 2022 a new Stroke Play format will be use. In the past it was always a Match Play competition.

Four junior golf associations from around Ohio will competition for the CUP over an 18 hole Stroke Play competition using Stableford scoring. Each team of 18 players will have 6 players in 3 divisions (Boys 17-19, Boys 16&U & Girls 19&U). Five of the six will count toward the team score per division. The team with the highest combined point total over all 3 divisions will be the Cup champion.
