NCJT Tournament Week Starts Now

Are you ready for the busy junior tour season? This post will help!

Tee Times:

The tee times are posted for our first event of the season at Punderson, June 9th. Tee times usually post 3 days prior to the event day and times can be located in a couple of places. Tee times can be found on the event info page, but the easiest place to find them is on the Home Page. At the top of the Home Page quick link boxes appear when current event info is available; such as: Tee Times and the Live Leaderboard. Check there often as the tour is underway now.

Live Scoring

All players need to download the Shotstat Live app and be ready to score during the events. The scoring app must be kept current during play. When all players keep up with the scoring we achieve a Live Hole-by-Hole Leaderboard during the tournament. NCJT has been a leader in Live Scoring for more than 6 years and it’s been a fan favorite since its inception, so be ready to do your part to keep it going. Click on the links below to download the Shotstat Live app.

Event Types

There four basic event types on tour. Single day events, Two day events, Add-on events, and Special events

Single Day events – most of the events are 18 hole single day events and some include the Mini Tour for 12 and under players to play in a 9 hole competition.

Two Day events – the Sand Ridge Junior Invitational and the Tour Championship are 36 hole competitions played over two days.

Special events – the JB Four-Ball and the JR-4AM are special events that allow adults, alumni and juniors to play together in some unique and fun formats, please click on the event name to enter the event information page to learn more.

Add-On events – certain events have an Add-On option, such as Punderson and Gleneagles, if you enter both single day events then you can add-on the WRJS event PunEagle for $10. PunEagle combines your two single day scores into a 36-hole score that allows us to post to the Junior Golf Scoreboard’s Junior Golfer World Rankings, which is where college coaches find and research potential players for their teams. The Junior Golfer World Rankings events must be 36 holes or greater and the Add-On allows us to meet that requirement.

The JB Four-Ball Classic

The JB Four-Ball Classic is a true golf classic.  Current and Former NCJT players are eligible to make up a team.  It’s a scratch event with no handicaps.  Only one player on the two-man Four-Ball team needs to be an NCJT player or Alumni, the other player can be anyone at any age.  We are hoping to build a reunion style golf classic that will mingle players from the past with players of today.  This will create a great spirit of golf that will cultivate year after year.

This event is named in memory of the late Mr. Jim Brown (founder and owner of the Classic Auto Group).  Jim Brown (JB) has been a long time supporter of Greater Cleveland golf and the North Coast Junior Tour.  Many in our community have benefited from contributions made by the Brown Family and we are pleased to honor JB with an event that will bring together young and old.  The annual winners will be added to the JB Four-Ball Classic trophy, making it a prestigious award. This event includes golf, cart, a breakfast box, a steak dinner and awards. Cost is $110 per player. For more details Click Here.

JR-4AM Scholarship Golf Classic

One of the most unique and fun events on the NCJT schedule is the JR-4AM Scholarship Golf Classic. This event needs your support and we encourage all NCJT families to participate in some way; either by bringing a foursome, finding a foursome of golfers or by signing up as an individual player. This is a great event to entertain business clients, since it’s a very rare event type. Click on the the logo for more information. All foursomes get paired with one of our outstanding junior golfers for the competition and everyone gets to witness the Denny Spaulding Golf Scholarship presentations.

Foursome Entry

Single Player Entry

All NCJT junior golfers are eligible to apply for the Denny Spaulding Golf Scholarships. The funds will go into your 529 College Fund. Usually $2,000 to $3,000 in scholarships are awarded, so don’t miss this rare opportunity. Click here to access the Event info page and the scholarship forms.

Camp Utopia

CAMP UTOPIA is another great way to experience Sand Ridge during the Sand Ridge Junior Invitational.  This camp is always sold out, but a few new spots have just opened up. The camp includes 3 nights and 4 days of golf immersion that includes staying onsite and playing in the junior invitational. July 11th – 14th. Click on the logo below to learn more and signup.
