This week, one of the majors on the North Coast Junior Tour took place at Sand Ridge Golf Club. Benjamin Jones was able to comeback from a 9 shot deficit after the first day to win the Sand Ridge Junior Invitational with a score of 78-73–151. Jones had won this tournament the last two years in the Boys 14-15 Division. Reva Morris was in attack mode all week, especially when she started with an opening round 74. She continued the solid play the next day as she carded a second round 81. Reva won by a total of 16 shots with her overall 155. Reva has won this event for 3 straight years.
In the Boys 14-15 Division, Jules Blakely fired a 77-79–156 to win by 3 shots. Blakely made 6 birdies in the two rounds despite the U.S Open course conditions (hard and fast greens). Colton Levey’s rounds of 73-75–148 was enough to win the Boys 13 & Under age group by 11 shots. His first round included a front nine 3 under par 33 and propelled him to a wire-to-wire victory.
