Ian Hardesty signs with Lake Erie College

Ian Hardesty, from Chardon, OH, has been one of the elite player’s on the NCJT for the past 6 years.  He recently signed to play college golf at Lake Erie College in Painesville, OH.

NDCL golfer commits to Lake Erie College 

Chardon, OH (April 24, 2013) – Senior Ian Hardesty will continue his golf career with the Division II Lake Erie College Storm.  Hardesty plans on majoring in Accounting.

“I am excited to be a part of the program at Lake Erie College,”  Hardesty said.  “It is the best fit academically and gives me the opportunity to compete close to home.”

Serving as co-captain, the senior golfer placed first at the Kenston Invitational, third at the Gilmour Invitational, first at the Sectional Tournament, and fifth at the District Tournament.  Ian was named to the News-Herald First Team and Second Team All-Conference.

He credits the support of his parents and coaches in his development.  “My parents have always been there for me,” Hardesty said.  “I am grateful to both of my parents, my NDCL coach Toni DiSanto, and my Swing Coach Ross Keen for their support and encouragement throughout my career.”

The son of Cari Williams and Douglas Hardesty, Ian lives in Chardon.
